INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — The Indianapolis Colts have adjusted ticket distribution plans for their upcoming "Primetime Practices" event.
For years, the Colts have hosted special public practice events during training camp. The program has long served as one of the organization’s most popular community traditions, giving Colts Nation an opportunity to connect with the team before the start of the season.
The event has been especially important for fans who are unable to regularly attend training camp or regular season games.
With a new season approaching at Lucas Oil Stadium, however, the tradition is also undergoing significant changes.
Earlier this offseason, the Colts announced that the 2026 edition of "Primetime Practices" would no longer be open to the general public.
Instead, attendance would initially be limited exclusively to season ticket holders.
The decision generated mixed reactions among the fan base.
Many supporters viewed the move as a reasonable way to reward season ticket holders for their long term financial commitment to the franchise.
Others argued that it risked excluding loyal fans who have supported the team for years but cannot afford season tickets.
As debate continued, questions emerged about whether non season ticket holders would have any opportunity to attend one of the team’s most anticipated summer events.
According to Colts ownership, the organization has now created a pathway for thousands of additional fans to gain access.
Owner Jim Irsay confirmed that approximately 5,000 complimentary tickets will be made available through a special fan appreciation initiative.
The program is specifically designed to recognize dedicated supporters who have attended Colts games at Lucas Oil Stadium over multiple seasons.
To qualify, fans must present three game tickets from three different seasons at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Both traditional paper tickets and mobile ticket records will be accepted as proof of attendance.
Eligible fans will receive one complimentary admission ticket to the "Primetime Practices" event at Lucas Oil Stadium.
In addition to event access, qualifying fans will also receive a commemorative 2026 Indianapolis Colts jersey celebrating the team’s new season and its connection to Colts Nation.
The Colts believe the program creates an opportunity for longtime supporters to experience one of the franchise’s most meaningful traditions regardless of season ticket status.
For many fans, the initiative represents a compromise between rewarding season ticket holders and preserving the community spirit that has defined the event for years.
As anticipation continues to build around training camp, thousands of Colts supporters may now have a chance to watch the team under the bright lights while celebrating the loyalty, passion, and history that helped build Colts Nation.
