Rams Cut UDFA Rookie for “Failure to Disclose Physical Condition” — Los Angeles Community Shocked After Reports Surface About Past Drug Related Incidents

Posted May 18, 2026

Los Angeles, California — The Los Angeles Rams shocked portions of their fanbase on Friday after officially announcing the release of undrafted rookie offensive lineman Bryce Henderson for what the organization described as a “failure to disclose physical condition” during the contract process.

According to multiple internal sources close to the organization, Henderson had undergone extensive evaluations following his arrival from Vanderbilt. However, concerns reportedly emerged after medical staff discovered physical issues that had not been fully disclosed prior to signing.

The Rams ultimately decided to waive the rookie before the beginning of minicamp activities.

The situation became even more controversial after reports surfaced alleging Henderson had previously been involved in multiple off field incidents connected to drug related matters during his college years.

Those revelations immediately triggered strong reactions throughout the Los Angeles community and among Rams fans online, with many questioning how the situation was overlooked during the evaluation process.

Henderson arrived in Los Angeles viewed as one of the more intriguing UDFA additions following the 2026 NFL Draft because of his size, versatility, and SEC experience at Vanderbilt University.

During his collegiate career, Henderson developed a reputation as a physical lineman capable of playing multiple positions across the offensive front.

Several analysts believed he had a legitimate opportunity to compete for a developmental depth role on the Rams offensive line entering training camp.

Instead, his NFL journey with Los Angeles appears to have ended before it truly began.

To address the roster opening, the Rams reportedly moved quickly to bring in additional offensive line depth ahead of rookie minicamp and training camp preparations.

The organization emphasized that maintaining transparency regarding both health and personal conduct remains a mandatory standard within the franchise.

Head coach Sean McVay addressed the situation briefly while speaking with reporters Friday afternoon.

“We want to give every young player an opportunity to succeed here. But honesty and accountability are non negotiable inside this organization. When important information is withheld, it puts everyone in a difficult position. These decisions are never easy, but protecting the culture of this team has to come first.”

McVay’s comments quickly spread across social media as fans debated whether the Rams acted appropriately or failed during the vetting process.

Some fans expressed disappointment because Henderson had already become a popular sleeper prospect among portions of Rams Nation following the draft.

Others defended the organization, arguing that discipline and transparency are critical for a young roster attempting to remain competitive in the NFC.

The timing of the situation also adds more pressure to a Rams team currently navigating several important roster transitions ahead of the 2026 season.

Los Angeles continues attempting to balance veteran leadership around Matthew Stafford while simultaneously developing a new generation of young talent.

The Rams front office has placed heavy emphasis this offseason on building depth through low cost developmental prospects, especially among undrafted free agents.

Now Henderson’s sudden release serves as another reminder of how quickly opportunities can disappear at the NFL level.

As training camp approaches, the organization says it will continue closely monitoring every rookie player while reinforcing strict expectations regarding professionalism, discipline, and medical transparency.

Legendary 8-time Pro Bowler and 3-time All-Pro officially says goodbye to the Saints, immediately renting a luxurious $500,000 apartment in Manhattan Beach — Fans speculate he has reached an agreement with the Rams
Manhattan Beach, California – Cameron Jordan, one of the most dominant and consistent edge rushers in NFL history with 8 Pro Bowl selections and 3 All-Pro honors, has officially parted ways with the New Orleans Saints after 15 seasons with the franchise. The Saints decided not to offer him a new long-term contract, opening the door for Jordan to become a free agent for the first time in his NFL career. Jordan’s next move immediately created massive buzz after reports surfaced that he rented a luxurious $500,000 apartment in Manhattan Beach, California. Fans quickly began speculating that he is preparing to join the Los Angeles Rams. Jordan spent his entire NFL career with the Saints after being selected in the first round with the 24th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He became the cornerstone of the Saints defense for 15 seasons, served as a defensive captain nine different times, and remains the franchise’s all-time leader in sacks.  Jordan owns 8 Pro Bowl selections, the most ever by a defensive player in Saints history. He earned First Team All-Pro honors in 2017 along with Second Team All-Pro selections in 2018 and 2019. He was also named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. However, due to salary cap pressure and changes in organizational direction, the Saints ultimately decided not to continue their partnership with Jordan. That immediately made him one of the top veteran edge rushers available on the free agent market. Shortly after becoming a free agent, Jordan drew major attention after renting a luxury apartment in Manhattan Beach, California — an upscale coastal city located just minutes from SoFi Stadium and the Rams’ facilities. That decision instantly caused fans and NFL analysts to believe Jordan may have already reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Rams or could be close to signing with the team. Manhattan Beach is widely known as one of the most popular residential areas for Rams players and NFL athletes in Southern California. Jordan’s choice to settle there has only intensified speculation surrounding a possible reunion with head coach Sean McVay. Although there has still been no official announcement regarding Jordan signing with the Rams, his free agent status combined with the decision to rent property in the heart of Rams territory has convinced many people this could be his next destination. With the Rams continuing to search for additional pass rush help and veteran defensive leadership, Jordan’s experience and locker room presence would be viewed as an extremely valuable addition. No matter where he ultimately lands, Cameron Jordan’s legendary NFL career is clearly not over yet.
