New York, New York — The New York Giants officially welcomed back a familiar superstar presence as Odell Beckham Jr. earned a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.

For the first time since 2018, Beckham returned to the franchise where he became one of football’s most recognizable young stars.
The veteran receiver’s comeback created excitement throughout New York, especially among younger players preparing for the upcoming season.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart was among those who expressed genuine admiration after seeing Beckham secure his roster position.
Dart admitted that sharing a locker room with Beckham carries a special meaning because of his childhood memories watching the receiver.
"I would say it’s pretty nostalgic. As a kid, that’s like an icon, in a way where you feel like he changed the game a little bit."
The young quarterback explained that Beckham’s famous one-handed catches became moments that inspired an entire generation of football fans.
"You’re in your backyard as a young kid, talking about ‘Odell,’ when you catch it one hand, or just things like that."
Dart said Beckham’s return is not only about his legendary reputation but also about the work he has shown throughout training camp.

The Giants quarterback praised the veteran receiver for earning his opportunity rather than relying only on past accomplishments.
"He came in here, he earned it. He got better each and every week, and he’s playing his best ball since he got here right now."
Dart highlighted Beckham’s improvements in understanding assignments, creating separation, and making plays within New York’s offensive system.
The young quarterback also praised Beckham’s leadership, saying younger players on the roster can learn valuable lessons from his experience.
"He’s a great teammate as well. There’s a lot that we, as younger guys, can learn from him."
Beckham’s path back to New York was not simple after missing the 2025 season and dealing with multiple challenges.
The former Pro Bowl receiver entered training camp needing to prove he could still contribute at the highest level.
Instead of receiving guaranteed treatment because of his history, Beckham reportedly earned his place through consistent preparation.
Giants coaches also noticed his improvement throughout camp, particularly during the final stages of the preseason.
While expectations of returning to his peak 2014-2018 form remain unrealistic, Beckham could provide valuable veteran production.
For Beckham, returning to New York represents more than another NFL opportunity; it represents unfinished business.
He previously said his goal remains helping the Giants chase championships and adding another banner to the organization’s history.
Now, with Jaxson Dart leading the offense and Beckham returning as a veteran weapon, the Giants believe they have a unique combination of youth and experience.
